The National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) funded a whole range of Crucible-in-a-box activities across the UK from 2004-2009. These groups allowed individuals from all disciplines to come together, interact and create, and continue to work together as a network of alumni.
A range of projects were established, including science vs philosophy radio series explaining concepts of science and technology across the London airwaves, to stem-cell based materials for novel therapeutic medicines.
